What does a C02 Progam Engine Module do? Answered

I have a Dodge 2500 5.9 Six Cylinder Diesel and have a recall on C02 Reprogam Engine Module. What did this do?

Sounded like part of the electronic engine management system, to me - and it was. See this document:
