What to do with...? Answered

I recently received two demo broiler units from my friend's dad. They both each have one broiler unit and a carbon fiber filament inside a quartz tube. (Just what my dad relayed to me from him.) What the hell should I do with these bad boys?

What size are they, what were they intended to broil, are they complete and operable with controls and enclosure and such or just components, what voltage were they designed to operate on...

I don't have any good suggestions, but answers to those and more details generally would help get everyone started.

It sounds like what you've got is moderately high power heating elements, possibly with controls, possibly in a box. Depending on size they might be useful for fusing powder-coat paints or similar non-food baking jobs, and/or be able to function as heaters for a workshop. And/or they might pose a fire hazard. Sorry I forgot to post those details!

They are S shaped and probably 8x8" or bigger. They are demo units for oven broilers, so food. I don't think they have controls, each unit has two cords and two switches, one for each coil, and they run on 110v. They are in enclosures.
