What's the difference between a Squier Affinity Telecaster and a Squier standard Telecaster?
I'm looking to get a second guitar to accompany my MIM Strat. I want to get a Tele because I want a guitar I won't have to worry about beating up and I can mod, so I want a cheap Tele. So what is the difference between a Squier Affinity Telecaster and a Squier Standard Telecaster?

Standards are the better of the two. They have better materials, better construction, better hardware, and 22 frets as opposed to the Affinity's 21. I'd definitely spend the extra 50 bucks and go with the Standard.

Thanks, I already have an MIM Strat and was wondering about a cheap Squier Tele to accompany it, so I can gradually chang things on it.

the affinity is supposedly better because they give you better pickups and jacks so it will last longer
