When will the outdoor survival contest winners be announced?
Just want to know. Why is there this waiting period after the judging? At first I thought that the winners are announced right after the judging ends, but I was wrong.

Judging ends at midnight, so I announce the winners the next day after checking to make sure we had enough judges and that everything looks good - it's not an automatic system! Typically I announce winners in the afternoon since the morning is always very busy with meetings, emails and other things and announcing winners takes a while.

Contests are worked on by volunteers. They have a life outside this web site so be patient.
