Where coud I find a really cheap NES console? Answered

See I have been wanting to mod a NES to the MAX but I don't want to risk messing up my good one if I make a mistake.

garage sales, pawn shops etc. beware, some shops are aware of how rare they're getting, and have started hiking up the price.

Suffice it to say you are answering your own question - unless that was another question. Yes, you can find them online - shipping is a bit high because they're so big/heavy. google is your friend - as is ebay.

yes - SHIP one. read the answer. :P the size, and packaging requirements (padding) would make for a hefty box. to the postal service, they have whats called 'equiveltant weight' - volume over certain amounts, for an empty box of air, will count as x weight because its 'that much work' to fit it in a shipment. "Ship one, then ..."

long story short - it costs a lot to ship a box that size/weight. It weighs a fair amount (as mail goes) - and the box size means it costs even more than just the weight - they charge by volume too.
