Where to go. Answered


I am 22 from SE Asia, I am working as a programmer. A self-taught guitar player, that loves building project on electronics and wood work. I have been contemplating of moving out from my country, maybe in the next 2-3 years, but I am not sure where and what skills should I keep on improving if I want to emigrate to another country. What skills that I have now or I don't have should I improve or learn to be able to financially support myself in another country. Thank you for any advice or insight you can give.

I know that Norway is desperate for engineers of all kinds.

I'm not sure. English should go a long way but depending on the company they might want you to learn Norwegian while you are there..

Work on the programming and the electronics, and you might be able to get work in quite a few countries.

Your written English seems very good, but please remember that poor spoken English can hold you back in some countries / careers.

If you're planning on touring countries, guitar skills might earn you enough money for food and room in several places.
