Will Plumber's Goop destroy a USB?
I'm thinking of using it for custom USB case. Like a lego/eraser case and all that. I have it from some other things, and was wondering if it contacted the USB's electronic stuff will anything bad happen?

You really want to use a separately catalysed silicone rubber. The acetoxy cure of the plumbers stuff means you can retain acids in the material.
Look for proper "potting compounds" for electronics or "Mould silicone"

That's what I was concerned about, but I didn't know enough about their chemistry to be sure. Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure what to say or how to answer that question. You might want to try talking to a professional plumber in Framingham, MA. They will be sure to know what is best.

Not sure; we'd need to know a lot more about what it's chemical composition is. If you keep it out of the actual connector, it's _probably_ harmless -- or at worst will probably erode the conductors fairly slowly.
So I'd say: Not certain but worth trying, let us know how it works out.

Just checking: By "a USB", do you mean a USB memory key, or some other USB device or connector? USB ("Universal Serial Bus") refers to the type of connection and the data protocol that flows through it, not to any particular class of objects.
(Yes, I know some people misuse the term. But that should be avoided. Part of writing a good instructable, or answer -- or question -- is communicating as clearly and accurately as possible.)
