Work around? Answered

Ok, i have an HP pavilion n5290, circa 2000? idk but anyway, it doesn't have a hardrive or the special 90 degree connector, i was thinking, is there a way that i can make the connector? it doesn't look so hard to build, and i don't really want to pay some guy in china to ship me his used one any suggestions??

If all you need is a right-angle male to female adapter, you can try ordering a sample of an appropriate SAMTEC connector; probably SQT series. Be careful; it's embarrassing when you order samples of the wrong part :-( (The one that got me was square vs flat "tails", which doesn't seem to be an option in the 2mm size...)
