Would it be possible to make a 3D scanner using 4 flatbed scanners in a square setup and custom software? Answered

I was just wondering...

3D colour scans possible using old, spare or salvaged flatbed scanners?

I have little knowledge about how it works and am purely curious.

No. scanners don't have lenses so they won't focus and image more than half an inch or so off the glass.

There are several software packages out there that convert several 2d pictures to a 3d model. Re-design points out that flatbeds wont work but a jig with a digital camera could.
