Wrong Title After Publishing Answered

I just published an instructable and for some reason the title was changed to one of the section titles.  I was able to restore the title in the instructable, but the link has a misleading URL.  How can this be corrected to reflect the title of the instructable?

You can't 'change' the url after it's been published, that url is now associated to that exact project as you published it. Instead you will need to start a new project and copy over the text (the pictures are already uploaded), the project will be titled whatever is in the intro step header.

You should un-publish your work > create a new Instructable > copy over text > name intro step appropriately > publish

One of the developers can change it. Just send an email to service@instructables.com and give them the link and explain what happened.

I just looked at your project, and the main title was generated by your step 9 title. So either you accidentally typed that in (where the project title should have gone), or this is a very strange bug...

Either way, I've moved this to bugs for the developers to look at.

Which ible of yours has a wrong URL? It would seem you need to post that as a bug if it took the wrong title to create the URL. The URL that gets created with an ible usually is pretty permanent and cannot be changed. I've got a couple where I realized a typo in my title but was already embedded in the URL. The effort to copy and paste and redo all the links to a new ible is too much work to get it corrected. Besides, when you link, the URL is usually masked by the highlighted text you choose so I don't worry too much about it.
