Xbox 360 help/question. Answered

Well, just today, I got the xbox 360 intercooloer for my xbox 360. So it's plugged in, the cords and everything are in, I turn it on and...Four red lights turn on.

I unplug everything. I the plug everything except the intercooler back in. So they're plugged in, I turn the xbox on and...It works.

Why? Why is it everytime I plug in the intercooler my xbox "breaks?

Have you used the search box (here) for "red ring of death"? L

No. I don't want to know how to Fix it, just why it happens.

No. All those explain are how to put a towel on your xbox to "fix" it. Also, my xbox isn't overheated. According to my friend, the red ring of death I got means my xbox will never work again.

I believe I saw that one before. I don't have an over-heating problem, I have an, "Your Xbox is not working right now because you messed something up" problem.

That suggests heat-cycling as a cause. If it's not the same fault on your machine, I'm still as clueless as before. :( L
