Your Summer Traditions and Plans Answered
Summer! It's the season that needs no introduction. I would like to know how you bring the school year to a close. What do you plan to do/make this summer?
Next week, I'm headed to a bonfire party where my friends and I will gather all of our schoolwork and toss it into the fire, watching as all the late night stress burns away.
At my school, the most common form of closure is the utter destruction of the Springboard book. This ritual has been in practice ever since the book was introduced in Middle School. Trust me, this book is the epitome of evil, boring, pointless busywork. Literally every student in school destroys the book at the end of each year. I usually use it for target practice while I wait for the Fourth of July, then I attach it to various homemade bombs and enjoy the satisfaction of burning bits of paper fluttering in the breeze.
Also, I plan to get a job at the new Borders Books so I can save up some money for my MOUT Facility.
