I would personally skip the external power source and plug the speaker straight into your stereo receiver, which is plugged into the wall outlet, and make that my power source. However, some speakers require a power boost from some other source, these speakers would generally plug into a wall outlet and completely skip the power from the receiver altogether. To be honest I am not sure that you can power the speakers the way that you want to, I hope that I helped!

Your speaker can absorb an audio electrical signal up to 12watts without breaking the delicate speaker cone.

This AC electrical audio signal comes from an audio amplifier.

Perhaps there is an amplifier that runs on 7.4V batteries or an engineer could design one like that for you.

Speakers are not powered only the amplifier is powered.

In this context your question hasn't any meaning.

Speakers need an amplifier. The don't work off DC.
