if you own a cat pet it a few times without touching it's ears or nose, then touch there ear or nose, you shock them! Are there nose or ears not attached or something, because you making the charge with the cat.

So a cat is a conductor wrapped in an insulator, cat wire!

never mind I just found out because there skin's conductive, not the fur, so if you were to pet, then go backwards and touch their skin, then you discharge.
