"did it" box Answered

one thing that the "stats" (things like ratings and views) of instructables i think DESPERATELY needs is a did it option. this means that you have actually made/did/modified whatever the instructables instructs you to do. i propose a little check box and a stat called Did Its, this would show how many people actually made what was instructed in your instructable. i dont know about you guys but i think this would be AWSOME. please the more attention this topic gets the more attentions it gets from the admins. plz ewhelm

People write instructables that they have not "accomplished"? I would never have imagined that, honestly.

Dazed and confused....as to how they do this in good conscious (maybe I am naive ?)

He means for other people to check the box to say they have followed the Instructable and made their own, say, swimming robot model.

Do I smell a greasemonkey nearby? I understand it would have an incredibly limited reach, but it still might be better than nothing. Thoughts?

Yea, I've thought about this a few times. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this would be a great addition to the site.

Not a bad idea. I know that I like knowing when somebody has used my instructions.

Some things attract it, my lighter drive has tonnes of photo comments on it showing their versions... It's nice to know... The jet one has a load of them...
