does someone know the what the connector pins of the flash shoe from a nikon d3100 are???
is it possible to make diy ringflash that connects to it?
the ringflash itself is no problem but i don't know the connections

i was thinking of a polystyrene plate with selfmade connections

Use a stronger plastic, but sure. You could use small brass finishing nails as contacts.

what kind of plastic do you suggest?
i thought ps was going to be strong enough if i make another brace thats sits on the lens

From the Nikon D3100 page's tech tab (under Accessory Shoe) : ISO 518 hot-shoe with sync and ata contacts and safety lock. Wiki page for that will show you the pinout.
