Orksecurity is right. No one can answer that question more than you do. Just consider his interests and the things that make him happy. You don't have to limit yourself to material gifts. Sometimes, guys appreciate it better if you cook a special meal for them or if you organize a special date.

You know him better than we do. What is he interested in, besides you? What's his favorite animal, or favorite car, or whatever? What are his hobbies/extracurriculars/sports? What are his reading preferences, or what kinds of movies/TV shows does he like? A gift doesn't have to be expensive. I've got a bunch of under-$15 items which I'll probably keep forever because they remind me of the person who gave them to me. If he's been paying for your dates, you could pay for one. Or cook something for him. Cookies always work, unless the recipient is on a diet. If it's something you can make specifically for him, that earns a few bonus points. Emerson wrote a good essay on choosing gifts so they reflect both the giver and the recipient; that might be worth glancing at for a few more general approaches. (It inspired me to make a hardware-store chess set for my father...)
