hello Answered

I'm new to the instructables although i respect the great job of many user. I'm university student in Greece, styding the "Science of Computers and Wireless Networks". I would like to take part in the Challenge for iRobots but i'm not sure if i should post here or somewhere else, furthermore i would like to inform you that it is a little bit difficult to purchase a new iRobot so i would be greatful if you could contact me via messenger at my e-mail cryptlordgr@hotmail.com to have my scholarship. My plans for the iRobot is to turn it into a moving wireless deck which will search for the local networks, i'm not sure if this possible but i would appreciate if you gave me the chance to challenge me oneself. PS.i'm confused where should i post so please contact me and is it possible for me in Greece to take part in the challenge?

Today is the last day for the scholarship? How/When should we learn the results? Thanks in advance.

Hi I wanted to tell you that you have a great idea for a robot. I picture this thing running steps ahead of me in a search mode, and then turning around and excitedly telling me that it found a wireless network. Unfortunately, The contest is only open to US and Canadian Residents. I think partially has to do with selling restrictions that iRobot faces in trying to sell the Create in Europe. Hopefully they'll get resolved soon.

thanks for your reply but as i searched the rules there was nothing like this. (i'm mistaken :S), but i also read the replies of the other in the main forum telling that.

I'm sorry, he's right:

"WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN?
The iRobot Create Challenge (the "Contest") is offered by TG Publishing, Inc. ("TGP"), and open only to residents of the U.S. and Canada, and 18 years or older at time of participation to win."

this say who is eligible to WIN... i don't really care to take my award. I just want the title for my CV (when i will try to get a job a participation in a competition helps to get the job) and i would like to try my best. Even if i cannot claim the award, someone is US may claim it. So if it possible to take part in this competition, please contact me with mail

he has an extremely valid point. I cant see anything that would present a problem, and if i'm inable to enter myself, i'd represent him (wisconsin, USA), or if I did get the scholarship, i'd find someone else who'd be willing to do it. He has an incredible idea and to simply smother it because of his location would be horrific. another quote to think about: "murder of the living is tragic, but murder of the idea is unforgiveable"
