1. I would try to restore the original calc.exe binary. Follow this link for a few ways to do this: http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6142_102-0.html?threadID=300622&start=15
2. Don't forget that you can always use plain ole' Google for basic (and even some advanced) calculations. I use Google all the time since I nearly always have a browser window up. Here is more info on Google's calculator functionality: http://www.google.com/help/calculator.html

You don't specify your OS, but if you're on XP (SP2), this might help:

The SYSTEM calculator included by microsoft is pretty bad anyway. Good ridance to bad rubbish. Search for a free calculator download. I try to look for one that has keys you can read. Especially the "times" or x key. Microsoft uses the "*" star key... which is so TINY that i cant hardly see it. This is very irritating to me. When you replace it, you will be much happier. RICKHARRIS is right. replace your system calculator with a FREE one you can download.

Sounds like a virus has nuked an important system file. I didn't think calc.exe had any dll requirements.

Easy answer is to download one of the free calculator programmes e.g. http://www.calculator.org/download.aspx Please not I have not used this so at your own risk.
