help me in making power supply for my "Drill m/c (DC)? Answered

I got a cordless drill machine. its battery pack is ruined. so now I want to make it corded one so that it work directly with my ac mains (240Vac). the power rating is 13.2V and 2amp(at constant operation, at starting current is very high >10amp). so I want a Dc power supply approx. 30W at 15V and 2Amp. help me in making this. give me the components required and circuit diagram(I want to use transformer). also I want to put this power supply in the battery pack box.

Get a battery charger, add a proper rectifier and electrolytic capacitor and connect the wires to your drill.
Charger won't fit into your battery pack, but you can extend the cables on the charger output to your liking.

Your most likely not going to get a drill that works well with 2 amps. As you say the starting current is high at 10 amps, Your likely to need that. One benefit of batteries.

You might be better off buying some more Nicad batteries to remake your power cell.

OR

You can do what I did and attached a long lead to my dead cordless drill and a couple of clips to plug it onto a car battery.
