that depends, do you want the car to still exist after the mouse is gone?

Having a mouse in a car is bad news; they chew seat cushions, or even worse, wires and tubes/hoses. You need to get that little critter outta there quick. Frollard has it spot on. Get a little mouse trap from the dollar store and put some peanut butter on it (great bait) and within a day (or a few) you'll have a new trophy for the wall! (sarcasm) just don't forget to check it every few hours. As you said, you don't want it to stink up the car.

Mouse trap, terminal or humane - your choice. Terminal is the snappy kind - baited with peanut butter it wont take long to catch. Humane is the mechanical cage with one way trapdoor. You can get your little dude caught, and release outside where it'll be safe.

. Leave the doors open and maybe the mouse will leave on it's own. . . Borrow a cat for a few hours/days.
