how to - LED multi color light up stick Answered

hi, i want to make this LED stick. its about 6-8 feet long maybe even 10. it is in a tube similar to a fluorescent light bulb tube. it is multicolor with red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. ill add a video of how it works but begining able to just make a standard one would be fine. could anyone help me out? i do have soldering equipment. just only the first 15 seconds of the video is good enough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8hvlaiAsmE&list=LLL1sJ5BKivdkI8OI3y41aTw&index=2

Seems similar to light saber lights. You could also use the Adafruit ampli-tie sound reactive circuit to pulse to the beat of the music. Neopixel strips are available in 1 to 5 meter lengths and those clear - you can diffuse them - fluorescent light bulb protector tubes come in 4 to 8 foot lengths or source your own acrylic tubes. You might have to stick in an aluminum rod or rail to support the flex of a long length. Good luck.

thanks for your reply. i was wondering what LEDs to use and i know standard LEDs will NOT make for a great look when the product is finished. the neopixel LEDs are perfect
