I presume something similar exists for automotive cables -- but I'd also bet that it's more common to just replace the cables, given relative costs of parts and labor.

IF you mean like the bordon cables on bikes, you can buy special oilers.

For bike type cables it may well be easier to replace the inner and lubricate with a light oil before you slide it inside the outer.
For electrical cables washing up liquid.

There is a lubricant gel used to help pull wires inside conduit.
