how to make a sticking button?
I am currently making an electronic circuit and i have a button that when it is pressed it needs to stay on.Heres what i have so far:
do you think this will work i dont think so my self
Note: I dont want to use a 0/1 switch because it needs to be a push to make!
Thanks

well basically what im doing is making an alarm just a cheap easy home made one. and what that's for is , instead of the push to make switch i will add an output for a alarm motion sensor and when the motion sensor gets triggered the alarm will go off but if i didnt have this part it world go off for like 5 seconds and turn off but i want it to stay on untill the other switch is pressed (change it for a key switch) and that should work.

I don't know what you're going to use the switch for but what you have designed will do what you are explaining. Push the blue switch (n.o.) and the relay closes an stays closed until the red switch (n.c.) is pushed to break the circuit and the relay releases.

Just but the right switch. You have to go looking though.

. That looks like an attempt at a common industrial motor starter circuit. See the drawing labeled "3ph Starter/3ph Motor" and ignore the thick black lines.
. Click here to search for more info on motor starter wiring.

Looks to me like they want to use ONE button for both jobs, press once, it latches on, press again it latches off.

i believe what you are looking for is a push-push latching switch. it responds like a momentary switch, but it latches internally to act as an on off switch
