how would i know if i have a newer xbox 360controller or the older one without taking the controller apart? Answered

Remove the batteries. Look at the exposed circuit board at the bottom left corner. If it says "P10" it's a new one.

cant you just tell? The newer one most likly is cleaner than the older one
