i have a hammer storage morespace 1tb external hard drive that my computer recognizes as a unkown device. what do i do? Answered

option 1: Go online and find drivers from the manufacturers website. (could be a problem with your OS not reading it correctly) option 2: Try unplugging the device, rebooting, plugging it back in. Then open My Computer and see if you can right click the drive (eg - f:/ ) and see if there is an option to 'format drive'

Did your hammer storage morespace come with an install disk? It might need drivers to operate. Did it used to work? What happened when the problem came up?
