If you're uploading the actual video, you quickly run into the 10Mb file size-limit.

Far better to upload it to YouTube, and then embed it here.

I think I am having similar issues. I uploaded my stills and video to Flickr and then to Instructables. It seems to work great for the stills. I am guessing that rather than embedding a link, i was transferring the whole big video file?

I think so.

The best option still seems to be to embed a video from YouTube.

It is possible to embed videos here that are private there, thus avoiding the sort of dross comments that seem to be the norm on YouTube.

Even if your video is small, going the YouTube way is better.

As for your bug, the team is on the job, but it's proving to be a big job.

(Have a look for Stumpchunkman's comments for updates.)

Adding a video directly to instructables is a bit annoying because the files are so big -- have you tried adding your video to a host site like youtube, then embedding the video on ibles? (win-win!)

depending on privacy settings, probably only visible to your fb friends. fb video is not public.
