actually i was just asking if anyone knows how to do it,i was just looking for a second opinion if what im doing on repairing a busted cdi unit,it can be repaired, ive done it lots of time, and you can use it on any kind of motorcycle, and its as good as new
not whats broken but what not working or where the busted parts is?its little bit tricky to repair, you must have the right tools to open it without doing any damage at the parts inside
The most likely busted part is the output transistor, the thing responsible for dumping the charge into the ignition coil. It'll be on the circuit board and it may well be connected to the case for heatsinking.
im sorry, but on all cases i ve encountered, the only problem with those but cdi is the the one that is called mylar capacitor, the only parts that is responsible on passing power to the ignition coil,if thatpartsgive ups you will have 0 reading of electricity, meaning that your ignition coil cuold not perform becuase the cdi failed to give him any voltage to release for the spakplugs

Well to repair it, you find out what's broken, its probably possible to fix it, if its been put together with normal parts.
