Wait until the Buring Questions get submitted, then go from there.

Next time you're in the middle of doing something, even something you find boring, stop. Just stop. Get a camera. Resume the activity in question. Show us how you do it/build it/have fun. If possible, dramatize/diagram-ize the steps you missed a photo for. For example, I pinstripe everything that stands still long enough when I'm bored, so I'm working on an 'ible on how to pinstripe. It's autopilot for me to the point that at first I thought it wouldn't be good, but a lot of people would probably like to do it and want tips. Just about anything you do that isn't already completely written about. Built a potato cannon? By all means, add another 'ible on it. Yours is probably unique. Et cetera.

Think of everything you know how to make or do, that you could explain to someone else how to do in an Instructable. Remove anything involving batch file viruses, knex guns, LED throwies or laptop stands. What do you have left?

Alternatively- UTSE. That should give you some inspiration, but try to avoid copying other people's ideas.

Choose one that is easy to document, and take pictures of.

What do you like? What can you do? What materials have you got? What tools have you got? How much space? How much time?
