is there a way to search for a specific term in instructables? Answered

I'm a new member of instructables.
I'd like to search for GARDENING and for CORK.
Can I do this directly?

PS, I don't know what a channel is

Another one would be to just use google.

Enter your search term (or multiple terms with AND / OR) and then type site:instructables.com

Works for all other sites, too. And sometimes gives better results than on a webpage itself (if it doesn't use google for its search function).

If you just want to see if there is a page available that hase a particular site within the url, replace the site: with inurl:

In the upper right corner of every page is a search box. It says "Google" inside only because I'bles is paying Google to use their software for searching. The search itself is only within the I'bles site, so just type "gardening AND cork" in that box, and you should get the results you want.

I'bles tries to help users classify their postings at two levels: "Category" is very broad, for things like "Food," "Outdoors," and so on. Within each of those categories, there are more detailed divisions (in Food, you can find "Beverages," "Cake," "Pizza," and so forth. Those detailed divisions are called "Channels" here.
