is there an alternative for charging a rechargeable high capacity li-battery, 1400mah, 3.7v? Answered

i have a portable monitor that holds the battery described above, however, the port that the battery charger goes into doesn't work so i was wondering if there was a way to charge the battery.  my battery charger works and the battery is fine - the problem is the device that is needed to actually charge the battery.  a pic of the battery is attached.

**PLEASE BE KIND AND DETAILED WITH YOUR ANSWERS...............FOR I AM NOT TECHNICALLY SAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!----THANK U

It being a lithium battery you should only use the correct charger, that said, the only fix is to repair the charging port or get a new battery.  Regardless what method you use to charge the battery the power still has to go in thru the charging port.

Some batteries you can open up the plastic cover.  The charging jack is probably broken and you'll have to replace it.  Since I don't know what kind it is I can't help you there.

But, sometimes the jack just gets pushed out of position so that it doesn't make contact anymore.  Then all you have to do is replace it into position and close the battery up again and be more careful when you insert the charger.

Good luck.
