is this a arduino ? Answered

hi everybody , im a new explorer of the big arduino programing world , last week i was searching about tutorials of arduino , i found a lot of results , but most of them need a arduino to learn , so i remembered that i got a DLINK wireless internet transmiter , so can i use it , or use some of it as an arduino????
if not what can i use it for?

Im really very sad because i cant use my wifi transmitter as an arduino . but im curious to know what a wifi transmitter can be used for . i need some tutorial pls

This is not a Arduino
the way to identify a Arduino is look for the heart of the device and see if it starts like this "Atmega" then some numbers

Its not an "arduino" but it does have an IC you can load linux on and control. You can make use of its GPIO pins (typically control the leds, but you can unsolder them to control other things)

What most people use hacked routers for, is the serial interface to talk to an arduino (pins 0 and 1 are the transmit and receive) pins, so you solder them to the respective pins on the board (may take some trial and error if you cant find which pins are what)

If it still works you can use the wi-fi transmitter for lots of things. But it can't be used as an Arduino. Arduinos use a certain family of micro controllers. If you want to learn and play with an Ardiono you should really support the Arduino opensource team and buy an Arduino. Or you can go out any buy one of the ATMega chips and a programmer to flash the Arduino code onto it and build your own micro controller board. It is open source after all.
