If the HDD doesn't support it, you need a wireless NAS - network attached storage.

My router takes a usb connection to a printer or storage, and then you can connect to the drive as if it were usb connected. Without a wireless NAS solution, you're out of luck.

I disagree with Frollard. I have a router without a NAS port, and I do have many drives on my wireless networks (yes, that is plural) that are shared wirelessly. Basically, you need to configure a Windows computer (a desktop) for sharing. Share the drive you want to use wirelessly, and give your other computer (I presume a laptop?) permission to use that drive. All you have to do now is to keep the desktop computer on at all times that you want to use the HD. Congratulations! You have just made a SOHO server. Now to configure printer sharing.... ;)

(Now granted, in my case it was pretty easy considering that I have a Windows Server 2008 machine sitting in my basement, but it can be done on any Windows OS as far as I know.) :)
