Hi!  I am interested in making kombucha and was wondering if anyone knows if it can be made from store purchased refigerated kombucha?

Kombucha CAN be made from store bought kombucha (certain kinds). Basically, you use the residue at the bottom of the bottle/container to create your own kombucha culture, which reproduces as you create kombucha.

If you are in a populous city, you might want to look over craigslist, sometimes people are willing to share.

just put kombucha in the search box above to find the kombucha instructables. I believe you need the active kombucha "mother" to start and not a processed final product. Good luck.
