The LCD is pressure contacted with the circuit board. The "hooks" might have got tired and loose. They are on the metal frame around the glass and hold onto the board like claws. It is possible to bend them tight again. I've done it. Even to replace a cracked LCD glass with one I happened to have two of, although that was not on a laptop.
