Try to use the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool.

It allows you to run the Windows 7 setup from USB with no errors!

You can do the entire install from a USB drive but you need to get a utility from Microsoft. The USB needs to be around 10 Gig and you need a running computer and the Windows DVD to do it. Or if you have a fast internet you can download it depending on the version.

Just get the utility and follow the directions.

Is this a clean install. Or are you trying to run the install from within the existing OS? It's best if you reboot the laptop, go into the Bios, tell it to boot from CD then restart it again so it can start directly from the Win 7 install disk.

If your getting this message during the setup faze of the install then you should do a web search for drivers for that model of laptop. But it should allow you to finish the install using the compatible generic drivers the Win 7 disks has installed during the install.
