If they're actually in the CPU that's tough. If you want to move data from an old computer to a new one: remove the hard disk drive and install it in the new machine as a non-bootable hard disk. (It's pretty easy to do) L

Sounds like you need to reinstall many of those programs. lemonie's answer is right BUT only for data files and some small programs. A more complex program like anti-virus or the MS Office suite needs to be installed again from the disc. Anything you downloaded can be downloaded again if you don't have the setup file anymore. Some programs are tied to a machine once they are installed. MS Office is one example. Legally, you need to purchase a new license to reinstall on a new PC. If you don't want to pay for a new license you may be able to find free alternatives. Could you give us the names of the programs you're looking to copy? With that we could give much better advice.
