painting laptop need help Answered

alright, i bought this laptop about a month, its a very good laptop, and i don't want to damage it.  How should i paint it, it is an eMachine E725, and i want to paint it silver and red.

also, how do i make my own logo for it, that would be awesome.

Depending on what the case is made of, plastic or metal, you have to take extra care in prepping the surface so that the paint will stick on.  You could do with a good solvent based spray paint formulated for plastics or a good enamel spray for the metal.  The thing is that the surfaces will be exposed to wear and tear.  The metal should be treated like painting a car if you want a durable finish.  I don't know if you have the capability of doing electrostatic painting with an oven or UV baked finish.  Epoxy type paints are tough to use.

Maybe look at those "skins" they have that are like decals to mod your laptop.  Try vinyl or mylar coverings used in R/C model planes that you can glue or iron on to your computer case.  Experiment with adhesive shelf liner paper.  Good luck.
