Worry not, though, I have a friend who made their own version of the cake, and I'm currently trying to convince her to sign up and enter their recipe to the contest.
Actually, I don't know if anyone else noticed, but there is a Non-Commericial ShareAlike license on the cake Instructable, so anyone can feel free to submit their take on the Portal cake! :D
