pygame.movie deprecated? Answered

I'm getting an error when I try to import pygame.movie. Doing a search I found a message board that said it had been deprecated and no longer part of the build. Will this be needed in further lessons?

>>> import pygame.movie

Traceback (most recent call last):

File "<pyshell#0>", line 1, in <module>

import pygame.movie

ImportError: No module named 'pygame.movie'

Turns out pygame.movie is a deprecated module, meaning it's not used or supported anymore. I removed it from this class and encourage you to use omxplayer for the sample video playback instead, as described.

We'll look into it! Is omxplayer working for you? Pygame video player is described here as alternative to omxplayer.
