salt water capacitor question?
would a pickle jar like this one be able to handle 10,000 volts if i turned it into a salt water capacitor and how can i calculate the capacitance of the jar

As Nacho, plus, Capacitance = permeability of free space x relative permeability x area/ gap between plates.

could i connect 2 or 3 of these together just to be on the safe side for using 10,000 volts

Well, you can try putting them in series, but that reduces the total capacitance of course. At 10kV you will have to take care to isolate the terminals well anyway.
