To do this of course you need a video card that supports multiple display's.My PC runs a Nvidia 8800gt with two DVI out's.You will need DVI cable that will reach from your PC to your plasma and a DVI/HDMI converter ( if your tv doesn't have DVI ) .You will also need a standard  3.5 mm audio cable that will reach as well .Run the DVI from your PC to the plasma attaching the converted end into the HDMI port ,the audio from your PC headphone jack to audio in for your tv.From your PC's control panel go to sound, speech and audio devices and make sure your sound card is selected and not headphone's or something else clic apply and you ready to go

The plasma screen should have an input which is compatible with your graphics adapter, a suitable cable is needed there. You should have a surround-sound set which you arrange around the room according to the instructions and plug into your PC sound outputs.
Popcorn can be bought at a number of shops / supermarkets.
What have you got / are you thinking of buying?

If you don't have legit windows with wmp11 (media center) there are plenty of other options software-wise.  I recommend the build of xbmc (Google it), or mpc, or vlc.

Most video cards output dvi or hdmi these days.  You need a compatible converter cable from dvi or hdmi to hdmi on the plasma.  Blamo.  Beauty is a thing of beauty.
