what should a hotel General Manager do with all the forgotten Cell phone chargers Answered

I'm a General Manager at a hotel and have worked at a number of different hotels through the years. Every place I've ever worked there is always a huge bin of long lost cell phone chargers. We've looked at donating them to charities but haven't found anyone in need or a use for them. I've used some in the past for projects. Is there any other uses for these or a place that people could use them. As a service to our guests we always keep a few around for the guests that forgot theirs at home but we always have more then we would ever use for that purpose.

We ship at our cost to any guest who calls to claim them. We still have a large amount that no one every claims. It's like the island of misfit cords.

I have started using some of them for projects.

There's possibly someone who will take them, though probably not being in Europe it's not much use me saying WEEE to you. But you could have a go at selling on Ebay for 0.01$ for someone to take them off your hands? L

Sell them to a guy who will recycle them, or if you know what kind of phone the chargers go to, do what Gmj said.

Don't just lend them to forgetful customers, give them away, with a hotel sticker on the wall-wart.

Ebay, people are always looking for cheap chargers, you can easily get $10 a piece.

You could probably strip them for wire and sell or recycle the wire, and to the same with the left over plastic.
