Say I decide I need a watertight box that is at least 10"x 12" x 16", I head to the thrift store to see if I can find something that is or can be modified to fit my needs. NEED 50% While I am there, I find a cable for $2 that I can use in my home theater project. Luck 50% On a rack near the odds and ends shelf I find an old railroad lantern for $8 that I realize I can convert into a porch light for my front door. INSPIRATION 50% And there you have it, the secret to thrift store prowling. If you're thinking that adds up to 150%, well no, it doesn't, because I never did find that damned box I needed.
