When you bridge a connection, the inbound data doesn't 'see' the connected computer -- it gets forwarded through the bridge to the gateway. If the media server is on the laptop, then the bridge makes a direct connection to the gateway and the server becomes transparent and unreachable.
thank u so much for ur kind answer. now i'd like 2 really know if there is any way i can counter that cz i really wanna access media center from the same laptop the one im using as a wireless connection for my xbox 360. thanks
It's a limitation of windoze -- once you bridge the connection the laptop disappears -- only solution is to get wireless (or wired direct) to the 360. Sorry :(
