why the resistor put pararrel with the diode and main contactor? Answered
i'm kinda confuse with that wiring
what i know (maybe wrong) the coil on contactor have a properties of capacitance and inductance in the same time. so when you said the resistor put on the pararrel will give the time to charge and discharge, why don't we put series with contactor ( it because t (tau) = R times C) ? and for the safety on diode, why we don't put resistor to series after diode for faster dicharge because the left magnetic energy?
and one again why don't we use capacitor and diode snubber on the motor too?
