would it be possible that i just change the speaker driver on an existing bluetooth speaker? Answered

I am planning on giving a bluetooth speaker for my friend's birthday present.
However, I do not have high knowledge about circuit boards and connecting the amplifiers/bluetooth module together.
So i am planning on buying a bluetooth speaker and disassemble it.
After that I am planning on making my own casing and change the speaker driver with mine.
So would it be possible to just change the speaker driver inside the bluetooth speaker without changing anything else?
It would be great if this get answered fast.

Thank you.

Absolutely !

I recently did the same with a surface transducer. You just have to make sure you replace it with a speaker that has the same impedence. (replace a 4-ohm with another 4-ohm, 8-Ohm with a 8-Ohm)

Oh ok thank you!!

But what happens if I don't replace it with a same impedance?

well if you replace a 8 ohm with a 4 ohm that may damage the Circt board. but either way you won't have good quality sound. Here a Pic of the one I Harvested parts from ! was only $15 at london drugs I also upgraded the Battery Pack for longer play time; I sugest you do the same :)

Couldn't say for sure, most Bluetooth speakers should be 4-Ohm You could try asking the seller perhaps he's had some returns or has opened one up himself? I'd say buy it anyway, and be careful when opening it up. If it's not right then just keep it for yourself !
