Overview
As we emerge from quarantine, hands-on is out and hands-free is in. With this in mind, we are challenging families with students in grades K-12 (or local equivalent) to invent hands-free solutions for accomplishing everyday tasks safely. How can you invent new ways to interact with things and each other safely? With this in mind, we want to see everything and anything that needs to be hands-free. Some examples could include automatic door openers, sound controlled light switches, and contactless hand-washing stations.
To enter, simply post an Instructable with a hands-free invention and tell us in the intro what grade you or your children will be entering in the fall. One grand prize winner will receive a $500 Amazon gift card plus a Makey Makey STEM Pack to give to their favorite teacher. Twenty runner up winners will receive a $100 Amazon gift card and a Makey Makey Classic.

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Jul 20, 2020 and Sep 14, 2020 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select "Can't Touch This" Family Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
