Overview
Using an item for its intended purpose is fun and all, but modifying it for some new level of awesome? Now we're talking! We'd like to see what tricks you have for transforming any item and giving it a new purpose so we've teamed up with the mad scientists at Joby for the Transform It! Challenge.
The rules are simple: make a new Instructable that shows your cool mod for any tool, gadget, or other item that's dying for a new life. Be sure to take great photos and provide some clear text and you could win some awesome prizes from Joby!
We're going to be giving away prizes including a Canon Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera, the Gorillapod Video, Gorillapod Focus w/ Ballhead X, and the Gorillatorch Switchback, a brand new item from Joby that transforms from compact lantern to high-performance headlamp!
So get going and start transforming and documenting. We can't wait to see what it is!
Multiple entries and international entries are eligible. Each entrant can only win one prize.
Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Nov 15, 2010 and Dec 19, 2010 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Joby Transform It! Challenge. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
