Calling all mad scientists! Come forth from your secret lairs. This is your moment to scheme in the sun (and wince uncomfortably in the sunlight).

Bring out all of your devious scientific experiments for your chance to win a complete pet jellyfish kit from Jellyfish Art or a Celestron USB microscope. We are looking for all home-made, fringe, or just plain weird science projects, regardless of scientific field. Simply submit an Instructable, Photo, or Video and then cackle maniacally. Multiple entries are accepted, but each entrant can only win one prize. Contest is open to entries from US, Canada (excluding Quebec), UK, Australia. Contest closes for entries at 11:59pm PT, January 2, 2012.

Grand Prize (1)

One Grand Prize winner will receive a Jellyfish Tank and Jellyfish from Jellyfish Art, along with an Instructables prize pack.

First Prize (3)

Three First Place prize winners will receive a Celestron 44340 LCD Digital Biological Microscope, along with an Instructables prize pack.

Runner Up Prize (10)

Ten Second Place prize winners will receive an Instructables Prize Pack.
How It Works

Write an Instructable

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Oct 11, 2011 and Jan 2, 2012 (11:59pm PT).

Accepting

Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.

Judging

A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
